Historically, Southern gardeners grow cool season crops in the spring. This year, Alex and I broke the mold and decided to grow our cool season vegetables in the fall. Typically, brassicas and lettuces grow best outdoors from transplants. So the first step in beginning our fall garden was sowing seed in a seed tray. We used Miracle Grow Seed Starter for our growing medium and black plastic seed trays. After we sowed the seed we watered in our soon to be vegetables. With the right chemistry and a little luck we will have a beautiful garden this fall.
